Hi all,
I'm trying to run the express edition (15.0.2) on several debian linux
servers without success. That segmentation fault story also affects
debian systems. setting LD_POINTER_GUARD to 1 or 0 doesn't change
anything. And the environment variables are correctly set.
I've read about the installer issues but running the tools manually does
not help.
just running 'ASE-15_0/bin/dataserver -d/opt/sybase/data/master.dat
-b30M -z2k -sHAPI -T1623 -f' does seemingly all it should (see
attachment) but crashes with segmentation fault.
Could it be that sybase can only run on old kernel 2.4 systems?
