Hey Adam,

you mentioned that you compiled another PHP for your test with php- 
objc. Did you make sure to use the proper path to php-config (the one  
of your new php-5.2.5)? You would need to change the line in the php- 
objc Makefile and also use the proper php-config with the make-bundle  
application (-php-config </path/to/your/custum-php-config>).

Also, you should try to find out what goes wrong using the Console  
application (/Applications/Utilities/Console.app). Check the "All  
messages" item in the left-side tree and empty the output before  
starting the currency converter application.
