From: oleg yatvitskiy Date: Thu Jun 22 15:19:11 2006 Subject: miniperl crashes when building 64-bit perl on Solaris 2.7
Hi,
I am building multithreaded 64-bit Perl on Solaris 2.7. Compilation goes without any problems.
Then, all miniperl invocations result in bus error:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/m/opt/extuser1/tools/perl-5.8.8:/m/opt/extuser1/tools/gcc-3.3.6/lib/sparcv9:/usr/lib:/usr/openwin/lib:/usr/dt/lib:/usr/local/lib
./miniperl -Ilib configpm --heavy=lib/Config_heavy.pl lib/Config.pm
Bus Error
make: *** [lib/Config.pod] Error 138
I have seen several identical questions online, but did not find an answer. Is there a know
resolution to this problem?
Compilation was ran with the flags as shown below:
`sh cflags "optimize='-O'" miniperlmain.o` -fPIC miniperlmain.c
CCCMD = gcc -DPERL_CORE -c -D_REENTRANT -fno-strict-aliasing -pipe -I/usr/local/include
-mcpu=v9 -m64 -Wa,-xarch=v9 -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -O -Wall
Thank you.
Oleg.
