I do! It was good to meet you - and I'm sorry for the long delay in replying.

[I'm sending this via dbi2-dev to give them an update, and because
that's the natural place to discuss this kind of work.]

My brain isn't in gear for DBI at the moment.

You could skim through http://www.mail-archive.com/dbi2-dev@perl.org/
(especially my messages) though they're a bit old now.

I'll bounce some emails between Bálint and myself over to you as that'll
fill in some more recent detail. I'll also try to extract the
transcripts of irc sessions since that'll help fill in the evolution.

But basically svn checkout https://svn.perl.org/modules/dbi2/trunk
and start digging around.

You'll need to get the perl5 JDBC and PDBC modules that are in that
repository built, tested and installed.

Then try to get the stuff in Perl6DBI/... working.

I need to put some effort into getting pugs + perl5 working again
so I can do some work on this myself, then we can work together more
easily. [I've not had much luck building pugs on OSX. Revision 13164
fails 236 test script, for example - I need to dig into why. Possibly
something simple.]

This may be useful:

You're welcome. And thank you for offering to help!

Tim.

p.s. I've attached a pdf of the Lightning Talk I gave at OSCON and YAPC.
Hopefully the list software will let it pass. I'm also uploading it to
CPAN, though being a pdf it won't get indexed.
