Subject:perlpod and the L<text|name> syntax
I noticed this in perlpod yesterday:

    Or you can link to a web page:

    *   "L<scheme:...>"

        Links to an absolute URL. For example,
        "L<http://www.perl.org/>". But note that there is no
        corresponding "L<text|scheme:...>" syntax, for various reasons.

I've been using L<text|scheme> syntax for some time so I suspect that this
last sentence is out of date.
