Wrong mailing list. MacPerl does run on Mac OS X now, I understand, but 
you don't really want that.

On Mac OS X, you have full perl, 5.8.x on Panther and Tiger.

There is a list specifically for perl on Mac OS X. That can be found at

     http://lists.perl.org/

You might even find a list there more specific to the mp3 module.
