Was your Berkeley DB built with a dynamically loadable shared 
object library? If so, do you have the location of libdb.so 
(or libdb.dll) in your LIBPATH environment variable?

Do you need perl threads?  If not can you omit the -Dusethreads
from the perl sh Configure command line?
