I hope > he's ok. The rumor I heard, at least it wasn't posted in any of the usual aioe.* newsgroups, was that he was sick and recovering in the hospital when aioe actually went down. His backup at the time, sorry I don't recall the name of the person, was running the site and working on the issue but the site itself had a catastrophic failure and needed both a full rebuild and new physical machine. Since then I've not heard from the person that was helping take care of the site. Like most people, I moved on to a new free service, and would greatly use aioe if it became available again. I still have that configuration stored in my USENET Client. I certainly hope that Paulo, his wife, and the other person are doing well whereever they are.
