Whitcoff suggested that Ukr should give up the idea of receiving Tomahawk
missiles and instead push for a 10-yr exemption from tariffs.This was
reported by WSJ. The special envoy’s argument was simple: “what good can a
handful of missiles do.” In his view, a long period without tariffs would
give Ukraine’s economy a far greater and longer-term benefit than a one-off
batch of weapons.
