Was that because they were uncomfortable asking for peoples race?
Also what did actual Canadians (first people) put before then?

It all seems weird to me. You *know* everybody is going to lie through 
their teeth on their profile which leaves just how they present 
themselves in pictures (fish or no fish) to decide possible compatibility...
