Hmmm, I didn't realize so many fruits emit ethylene gas. A boon to
grocers, it sez here you can buy packets of it to extend the shelf life
of produce... it delays decay, discoloration, and wilting.

v - I remember my Gran warning not to store onions and potatoes together...
