Speaking of toast

One of my favorite meals as a child was my Gran's creamed chipped beef
on toast. The dried beef came rolled up in little glass jars that made
excellent drinking glasses for ickle hands. Hormel was the brand. Her
savory cream gravy made from fresh milk was comfort food at its finest.

I made a version of it for my late husband - he liked it with ground
beef in cream gravy on toast points. "Marine food" he called it. ;)
