Yes, though it depends how much you add. It also changes the consistency, makes 
it less runny so it doesn't drip of the toast.

I put the lack of taste in peanuts and peanut butter down to less salt being 
added, so I sprinkle some on my peanut butter if I don't add the marmite to it. 
I do the same with peanuts and sometimes grind some black pepper on as well.

Yeah, I reckon there could be some truth to that.
