Oops, I got hold of the wrong end of the stick, I thought you implied that wetherspoons had taken over all the pubs. My mistake. But I think you are wrong to blame them for pubs closing. There's still plenty of places that don't have a wetherspoons and the pubs are still shutting up shop.
