Aside from /some/ cases that have their basis in physiology -- a physiology best referred to in physiological terms -- Asperger's is just adult slang for, "We hate you." The DSM-IV criteria, just off the top of my head (not necessarily verbatim): A. Two of the following: 1. Marked impairment in the use of multiple non-verbal gestures to regulate social interaction 2. Failure to develop peer relationships appropriate to developmental level 3. Lack of spontaneous desire to share enjoyment or point out objects of interest to other people 4. Lack of social or emotional reciprocity So, if America thinks you're one of those "sissy little cahw-mie bitches," you automatically get (2) and (3). That is, (2) people hate you, and (3) you stop giving a fuck about 'em. Then there's another one that has to do with a "circumscribed pattern of interest that is abnormal in intensity or focus."
