What is VAT? Value Added Tax.
Graduated VAT is where for instance basic goods like milk, fruit and
bread carries a lower percentage VAT (say 5%) than less essential goods
like soft drinks, beer and candy...
We pay 25% on (nearly) everything - goods and services alike.
