I boil water in a kettle and pour in over ground coffee contained in a
liquid-permeable paper bag - just like gawd intended.

I used to have one of those but the rubber gasket on the lid
disintegrated and it couldn't preserve heat. Also the coffee maker
stopped working - probably because of calcium deposits. Or because the
warranty expired.
