I tried that once at the old place. I even dethreaded all the metal
slats and scrubbed them off individually (nicotine staining is the
worst) Ended up with a lot of bent slats pointing i different
directions. I think I'll just stick to vacuuming them in place or wash
them down where they are if they get too bad.
