Senator Scott Wiener expressed his own shock and called parents
‘terrorists’

By Katy Grimes, May 25, 2023 10:40 am

The outrage over Target stores pushing the LGBTQ and transgender agenda
has morphed beyond just t-shirts with rainbow queer-friendly sayings, or
the Pride Adult Drag Queen ‘Trixie Mattel’ Short Sleeve T-Shirt, the
Toddler Bien Proud Short Sleeve T-Shirt, the Baby Bien Proud Bodysuit, and
the “tuck-friendly” bathing suits for infants and toddlers.

Way to read the room Target. It’s mostly women and moms who shop at Target
for their families who are objecting to introducing children to boys
wearing girls swimsuits “tucking” their penises into a pouch.

Triggered parents are posting videos on social media, of the “pride”
emblazoned items, and trans-friendly clothing pitched by Target’s “pride”
collection.

This mom is mad as hell:

The fury has been so widespread, Target stores across the country began
moving the “tuck-friendly” swimsuits to the back of many stores Wednesday.

Not to be outdone by the angered parents, State Senator Scott Wiener, who
is not a parent, weighed in on Twitter, expressing his own shock and
called parents “terrorists.” But Wiener isn’t mad at Target, he is angry
at the adults unhappy with the retailers’ aggressive advocacy and
inappropriate trans clothing for toddlers. He tweeted:

“Target is removing LGBTQ Pride products because of terrorist behavior
like this. Yes, this is absolutely terrorism & Target should be ashamed
for caving in. Just like Anheuser Busch caved in. And people wonder why
there’s so much fear in our community.”

Not to be outdone by Sen. Wiener, California Governor Gavin Newsom weighed
in with some hyperbole of his own:

“CEO of Target Brian Cornell selling out the LGBTQ+ community to
extremists is a real profile in courage. This isn’t just a couple stores
in the South. There is a systematic attack on the gay community happening
across the country. Wake up America. This doesn’t stop here. You’re black?
You’re Asian? You’re Jewish? You’re a woman? You’re next.”

Newsom actually claimed that parents upset with “tuck-friendly” swimsuits
is “a systematic attack on the gay community happening across the
country.”

And then he predicted a racial bias outcome:

“This doesn’t stop here. You’re black? You’re Asian? You’re Jewish? You’re
a woman? You’re next.”

Way to read the room Governor.

As offensive and out of touch California’s governor is with regular people
who shop at Target, of the 14 million views, and 20,100 comments on his
tone-deaf Tweet, Newsom heard from the regular people, as well as from
some notables.

Jason Rantz on KTTH Radio in Seattle called him out:

“I’m Jewish. And gay. You don’t speak for me, narcissist.”

Dave Rubin, also gay, asked Newsom if he is a lizard person:

Rubin also left California for Florida not long ago. You can guess why.

Here are a few of the 20,000 replies:

Ashley Muñoz: “Chopping off breasts and selling swimsuits for boys to tuck
their wieners in, is an extremist view.”

Hollywood Resistance: Please send us pics of YOUR KIDS wearing “tuck in
your penis” and “body damaging bind your breasts” swimsuits. Do it or
you’re a hypocrite.
The Redheaded libertarian: It’s grooming.
LogicallyConsistentMD: Lmao @ “You’re next.” You are like a cartoon
character villain version of a sleazy politician.
Perhaps Gov. Newsom is just once again attempting to deflect and distract
from his own extremely serious problems in California.

While Gov. Newsom throws punches at Red State governors, and obsesses with
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, here is a sampling of the mess Newsom has made
in California:

California is home to one-third of the nations’ welfare recipients and has
the highest poverty;
Our failing schools now rank 48th in the country;
California lawmakers can’t build new homes or apartments for less than
$800,000 each (luxury level costs);
The governor and lawmakers can’t figure out what to do with several
hundred thousand drug-addicted, mentally ill homeless vagrants living on
city streets and taking over public parks;
California lawmakers refuse to build additional reservoirs for water
storage in a state in which drought conditions are historically normal,
and now has a regular wildfire “season;”
California lawmakers and governor mandated all electric vehicles within a
few years, but can’t keep the power on during heat spells and winter
storms;
Lawmakers authorized more than $25 million worth of taxpayer-funded
guaranteed income to some individuals in the state, but can’t really tell
you why.
Proposed $800 billion in reparations payments to African-Americans,
despite that California was never a slave state.
California has a $34 billion deficit—and it’s growing.
The state’s $100+ billion high-speed rail project is mostly dormant.
California has the highest income tax rates in the nation.
California also has the highest sales taxes, electricity rates, gas taxes
in the country.
And as Victor Davis Hanson just wrote at American Greatness:

“Crime, homelessness, and medieval decay characterize the once great
downtowns of San Francisco and Los Angeles. It is now not safe to walk
alone in any major California city after dark.”

“Shoplifting and smash-and-grab theft are no longer treated as real
crimes. The result is the mass flight of brand stores from our downtowns
and inner cities, with all the accustomed cries of “racism,” even as
racist public prosecutors pick and choose whether to indict the arrested
on the basis of race.

“California infrastructure, once the best in the county, is now among the
worst. Decaying and crowded freeways, inadequate water storage, and pot-
holed streets are the new norm. Once robust gas, oil, mining, and timber
industries are nearly inert.”

And Gov. Newsom uses Twitter to try to gin up racial and gender bigotry –
a thin pretense for his own deficient record. We expect this hyperbole and
drivel from Senator Wiener, but the governor, who wants to be President,
is showing just how empty his suit is.
