But I tell you what. If you want to lower the age of majority.. and allow 
parents to kick 16 year old kids out of the house, to face the world on 
their own. Great. Meanwhile they will have to pay if they want to go to high 
school because we are only responsible for the education of children. As an 
adult, you are now responsible for your own education. Good luck going to 
school while working a job, trying to make rent and pay for food, while 
trying to figure out how you're going to pay for $50,000 of unnecessary 
surgery/

Because if they are adults, then they are no longer entitled to the benefits 
we offer to children.

You can have one or the other, but not both.
