Clayton man arrested after allegedly distributing child pornography

CLAYTON, New York (WWNY) - The New York State Police have arrested a
Clayton man after he allegedly distributed child pornography on the
internet. 

On November 10, state police charged Robert Bazinet, 34, of Clayton
with: 

Three counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (Class "D"
Felony)   

Three counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (Class "E"
Felony) 

One count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th
Degree (Class "A" Misdemeanor)   

One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree - Loaded
Firearm (Class "C" Felony)   

One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree -
Ammunition Feeding Device (Class "D" Felony) 

According to state police, Bazinet was arrested after an investigation
stemming from an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force search
warrant related to the alleged transmission of child porn on the
internet. 

Bazinet was arraigned in Jefferson County CAP Court, where he was
remanded to the county jail in lieu of $25,000 cash, $50,000 secured
bond, or $75,000 partially secured bond. 

Bazinet is scheduled to appear in court on December 2, 2025, at 4:30 PM.
