A town, city or state declaring itself a "sanctuary community" means it won't cooperate with the feds in trying to seize and deport undocumented migrants. That is *all* it means. It does not mean "Send 'em all here, we'll put them up in four star hotels and feed them filet mignon and lobster." Martha's Vineyard residents passed the compassion test. They gave generously to the kidnapped-and-trafficked migrants. The commonwealth of Massachusetts then found a more suitable place for the migrants to stay.
