When someone acts as the sole arbiter of what should and should not be on USENET, in their self-appointed capacity no less, it should be little = surprise that someone would create a group about him. It's promulgation across the myriad of NNTP servers that host the group = is also not a surprise. It must be so hard for him to continue to be a legend in his own mind = when everyone else thinks he's a dick. But, in the spirit of only wishing to offer constructive criticism, I = would offer this: Adam, instead of telling people what they, to your mind, did "wrong", how= about reframing the discussion instead? Maybe something like this, for example: "Hello, I see you made a proposal. Let me help you. If you want a positive = result, you might want to consider adding x or y, maybe re-wording part b to include = this, or exclude that, and possibly adding a section to go over this other = thing. If you'd like some help with it, feel free to send me an email" Instead of=20 "I AM A SNARKY LITTLE BITCH AND WILL SNARK AND MORE SNARK TO TELL YOU = WHAT I THINK YOU DID WRONG HERE AND MORE SNARK AT THE END CAUSE I WANT YOU TO = RESPECT MY SELF-GRANTED AUTHORITY" Just a thought. But then again, I don't have a USENET group that was formed to talk of my exploits, so I could be wrong. The weight of the evidence suggests that I am not, however.
