   Short ... fusing common agricultural fertilizer components
   into a sort of "glass bead" apparently works AND can solve
   certain long-term problems.

   Most fertilizers are very SHORT term. Big dose, and then
   a lot of it either runs-off into the local river or just
   decomposes.

   A "time-release" formulation however ...

   Trump wants to do government smaller and cheaper and
   more efficiently - but that philosophy can be applied
   to OTHER important things too. If the USA wants to be
   more self-sufficient then getting more bang for the
   buck from agricultural enterprises is an important
   thing to achieve.
