At face value, it's easy to believe.

Remember that fake UFO "Whistleblower" who testified before
congress? He made claims.

Problem is, he wasn't a whistleblower. Everything he said in
public and to the media, like in interviews, was approved in
advance by the Pentagon. So he never ever divulged any secrets.

Oh. It's a crime to make government secrets public, yes, but
it's not a crime to lie. So if you reveal classified information
you can and likely will go to prison. But if you lie and say
"There's bodies" then you won't. Because you haven't revealed
a secret. You haven't made classified information public.
