It wasn't a case where someone said, "Oh, I dunno, let's throw this together for no apparent reason, call it an experiment." The results were predicted, some argue "Observed" in nature. The experiment was designed to demonstrate this phenomenon. Photons don't experience time. There is no "Past" or "Future" as far as they are concerned. This is how we can observe "Spooky Action at a Distance." And that's all the experiment is doing: Reproducing Spooky Action at a Distance. How? Because photons don't experience "Distance" either. No time, no distance, so just as two entangled photons appear to "Magically" send information across vast distances, they also appear to send info backwards in time. Because for them they are always in the same place and it's always the same time. But not for us. For us there is a HERE and a THERE, a PAST and a FUTURE so FOR US the information moves backwards in time and/or leaps across vast distances without any care for a speed of light. And it's correct. Our observations. According to Einstein, we are correct. It did move back in time. For us. Not for the photon but for us. -- https://jtem.tumblr.com/tagged/The%20Book%20of%20JTEM/page/5
