Internet is not common carrier/public utility. Also, gaming is the big thing. Can't slow the games down or the in-app purchases. I can get DSL but I'm 5 miles from the phone building - really slow. I can get a WiFi modem at a Comcast store - up to 200 Mb/s (occasionally - around 5am) with a data cap and if you need more data, y'all can order it with your credit card. Or I can get a cable connection just like before but 2 hour dropouts when the neighborhood kids get home from school and get priority for gaming ain't gonna cut it. So, I tether to a phone (1 Mb/s) or drive in to work where there's a gigabit fiber connection. -- Grizzly H.
