I tried to watch it because of Jane Curtin. I didn't even make it 10
minutes into the pilot episode.

It was a paint-by-numbers sitcom. There were no jokes I hadn't heard
before, and I'd seen all the characters. It wasn't even a well done
sitcom. From what I could tell, they weren't even trying.

It's more and more evidence that scripts are just computer generated
based on a few selected characteristics.

Yeah, a paint by numbers sitcom likely
generated by an mad-lib type computer
program that cound run fine on an
Apple ][

But instead of admitting that their
writing sucks, or that everything they
did was already done before and much
better, they blame "tEh pIrAtEz".

Like why they can't fill theater seats
during non-Covid times to get the masses
to schlep up the latest Spiderman reboot
of a reboot which was yet another reboot.

Autistic OCD wracked comic book guys love
this shit but the general public really
does not.

What the fuck are you talking about? I hadn't bothered to read the
Variety article earlier. I just did. No one was quoted saying any such
thing in blame.
