January 12, 2032-on shuttle log book
Our spacecraft had suffered severe damage, but we were able to land safely.
None of our radios worked, and our cellphones could not get a signal
We thought we had landed in the Mojave desert so we spent hours trying to find a road, a town, gas station, anything so we could tell the boys at NASA that we had made it back to Earth alive. But we could not find a thing. Night fell, and we were shocked to see 3 moons in the sky, and then we knew we were on another planet. We managed to fix the radio on the Shuttle and we tried to call for help. We were hoping, however unrealistic it might have been, that our radio signal would travel through the anomoly or whatever brought us here, and NASA had an idea of what happened and might try to send another shuttle to rescue us. However the months went by, with no sucessful radio contact and it finally sank into our minds that no ship was ever going to come. We had to accept that this is our new home now
