FAMILY BUSINESSES SUCK
I’ve been working the WHOLE summer have NO time for myself or to explore the area cuz of work! I worked 56 hours a week with no pay! This is because of family but I still don’t even get anything out of it really. I still have no time to make friends cause the new school I’m going to doesn’t do shit and I have to keep trying to get into all of my classes. With school now I work usually work 26 hours cuz yk you’re supposed to be in class and school when you’re still not an adult. Honestly so sick of this cuz this has been going on since couple years ago when I got my nail license. I’m sick of not being able to hang out with my friends. This week since I was waiting for COVID results and wanted to relax I’m considered selfish by my own mother. I don’t get it I’ve been always working everyday and all the time with her with no complaints in fact I’ve never been able to say anything to defend myself otherwise it’s talking back! Seriously? Why am I considered selfish if the state doesn’t allow me to come back and when I want to also relax after working so much with no pay it’s insulting since she lets some of my coworkers get out before I do most times. She even got this place so then I could take it over even though that’s not what I want and tries to plan my whole life for me and has considered an arrangement for me when I was 14! She stills wonders why I keep things from her, like oh I don’t know maybe it’s cause when she gets involved with anything I do she wants to control everything! I literally mean everything. I have no privacy and she so mentally draining that I don’t know how to talk about her to my therapist. Yup I have a therapist and I can barely say anything about my mom to her either. My therapist doesn’t even know that I’m not getting paid cuz she wants me to stay as a dependent and not actually pay me not even 5 bucks for working on clients and doing receptionist while also being a helper for everyone else. Doesn’t help that she preaches about loving each other yet she doesn’t even love my dad and treats me the worst out of my family and I’m still considered her favorite just cause I’ve always been acting like a slave for her. Good grades, chores, take care of everyone else first and make food ASAP whenever she wants and whatever she wants. I don’t know how she can say she loves us when she just slaps us if we try to defend ourselves. I can’t even say oh god without her getting offended even though I’m looking as the most weirdest things sometimes on my phone and wasn’t even talking to her and swearing is getting mentally abused for 2 hours and listening to her rant more. I just checked and didn’t realize how much I wrote but hey entertainment for anyone who thinks that this stuff my mom does is funny. Anyways should probably leave so I can deal with being called selfish even more by my mom at work since I don’t got school tomorrow. Not joking she’s gonna do that. -Xoxo

family does not care about you. They are USING you, manipulating you, and what they are doing is wrong and yes ILLEGAL. If you are
under 18, you can add violation of child labor laws to their list of crimes.
My family did not make me do something like this, but I found out later in life just how disloyal, uncaring, and using they were and I told them all to go fuck themselves and cut all ties with them.
I hope you are old enough to get the hell away from them and this situation. You don't need this and you deserve better!
