Look, I don't like Trump. Like, at all. But I hope he, his wife, and everyone they've come in contact with does get through Covid-19 okay. Considering he was with Biden recently for the debate, I hope they're watching him as well. I wouldn't wish this crap on my worst enemy and it's kinda sickening how people are celebrating it. Not going to lie, but I did see this coming. It wasn't a matter of 'if', but 'when', just as it is with many other people who are fighting against wearing masks.
My only hope is now that Trump has it, those who believed it was a hoax will now wake up to the fact that this is very real and isn't going to go away any time soon without following proper guidelines. I want to go back to the days were masks weren't needed just as much as everyone protesting against masks, but it won't go back to those days unless we eradicate this damn thing.
I hope my state senator uses this as a wake-up call and reinstate the mask mandate he recently let expire. Over half of the people who came into my workplace today didn't have masks on because of it and I'm predicting a spike soon since our numbers were actually declining quite nicely before this. He stated that he still hoped people would still wear masks but there is no such honor when people aren't made to wear masks. They think they won't be affected at all or think it only happens to OTHER people, never them.
I honestly don't see the problem with masks. You only wear them around other people. If you keep your hands clean, you can pull them down when you're not around anyone.

i agree, i hope biden comes out of this okay, especially because he's been following the mask rules, it wouldn't be fair that he's worked so hard to stay safe and it all backfired because of someone who denies the effectiveness of masks. trump is a very old and unhealthy person, so I wonder how he'll come out of this, but should he survive, I also hope that he wakes up to the reality of this virus and moves his followers to believe in the importance of masks and social distancing. and yeah, I hope we can go back to normal eventually. quarantine's taken a huge hit on my mental, emotional, and social health, and it'd be nice to jump back into life
