First Accelerated Voice Transmission in history
2082
Radio station WX0 sent the very first accelerated voice transmission ever from the town of Joclyn Joyce on Arus to a tranceiving station in Newark New Jersey (W0NNJ) , United States.
The apparatus, which is all electrical vacuum tube based with no mechanical components, operates on 65kc and transmits at 65 thousand watts (65/65). On February 2nd, WX0's radio operator sent a telegraph to W0NNJ telling the operator there to "get ready for a big surprise". After that, WX0 switched from the electromechanical spark gap transmitting apparatus, to the new, all electric voice system, and began playing "Little Brown Jug" on a phonograph record through the new transmitter. The operator at W0NNJ jaw practically dropped to the floor in shock and amazement
