Orbital bombardment
This was a drastic measure used by the Arun military in the late 21st and early 22nd centuries used to quell a major riot.
The Arun military would fly a space craft into low orbit above Arus, and target a specific neighborhood with kenetic weapons, such as solid tungsten cannon balls, and fire multiple volleys at those targets.
It was used twice; during the Draft Riots of New Boston in the late 2090s, and in 2120 during a massive anti-Beziezian riot which destroyed an entire Beziezian town in what is now the west side area of New Boston. However, it is now known that in the second case that the Arun military was siding with the Arun rioters, assisting them in destroying the town.
Even during such high sentiment against the Beziezians, many Arun citizens voiced their discomfort and disgust at this practice, saying that "The Arun military is trying to play God", and "firing from orbit is an act of cowardace", amongst other criticism. After the 2120 riot, this method was never used again, however, it has not been officialy outlawed either.
