Wild thunderstorm hits Virginia City, F2 tornado strikes downtown causing 3 deaths, several injuries.

Last night, Virginia City was hit by a powerful 'pop up' thunderstorm which spawned a tornado, causing damage to the downtown area, and killing 3 people who were hit by falling debris as they sat at an outdoor cafe at around 11pm last night.

WTLT channel 24 experienced some damage and were briefly knocked off the air as news anchors who were hosting the nightly news had to take cover in the basement along with the rest of the building personel- "Alright viewers, it seems the tornado is heading straight to our studios here at WTLT. We are going to the basement now, and you all need to do the same. If you don't have a basement or if you are not at home, take cover now in a sturdy structure. Do not stay in your vehicle or mobile home. We are going to stay on the air as long as we can", Shortly after the anchors evacuated the newsroom, you can hear a loud rumble and see dust and debris fall off the ceiling as the camera kept rolling pointed at the empty news desk before the picture sputters out.

about 3 minutes later, the station switches to their backup studio to transmitter feed, " Wow, looks like we got grazed by that bullet. We took some damage, but it does not appear that we got hit dead on."

For some people, this brings back memories of the 2183 tornado that struck Manhattan, JJC, nearly 50 years ago to this day.

- Heavy rain has significantly decreased the fire danger in JJS, but officials are still cautioning the public about risks of brush and forest fires.

- City officials are closing down the streets around the 'lemon' building in Manhattan, JJC admidst fears related to the heavy storms expected for the next 7 days, "We hope this building does not collapse during this storm if the city decides to leave it standing for a while longer". The city is considering issuing an emergency demolition order to demolish the building before the worst of the storms hit which is expected in 4 days. Today the JJC mayor office has given the greenlight to move forward with plans to demolish the building and a replacement skyscraper of a newer, much more modern design to be built in its place. Originally, the date was August 10th, 2233 but because of the severity of the storms that are expected to arrive, the city may demolish the building within the next 3 days. Already, demolition crews are making the preperations to bring the building down, and most of the former tenants have. finished retrieving their property from inside the building.

'Lemon' building demolished after emergency demolition order given by JJC city government.

With much cheering and applause, and every local news station televising the event live, the 'lemon' building was brought down at 3pm this afternoon.

"After 45 years of being a money pit of constant repairs, far more than most other buildings need, a source of constant worry, and a constant symbol of Arus's massive corruption scandal that went on in the 2170s through the beginning years of the 2190s, it's finally gone, history.

Though people are celebrating, there is also worry about the storms, the worst expected to hit within in a couple days, that are expected to be some of the worst that JJC has ever seen.

Destructive minicanes are expected, as well as flooding, powerful winds including possible tornadoes, and high frequency deadly cloud to ground lightning.

Arun Electric is already preparing the grid for a major hit and warn that rolling blackouts are possible to protect the public from downed wires, and also the grid itself from overloads caused by lightning strikes and short circuits. However they caution that a line may remain energized, and could come down live in the storm.

"Always assume that a downed wire is live.", an Arun Electric company spokesman said, "if possible, stay away from powerlines during the storm, especially the high voltage main transmission lines."

Today in JJC the weather is gloomy, with light to moderate rain, and occasional lightning, and also very hot with temperatures in the upper 90s and high humidity, and the temperatures are not expected to dip below 90 this evening and the humidity will be virtualy unchanged, but this is just the calm before the storm.

"JJC is about to get whalloped, and we are going to see some major damage throughout the city. Buisiness owners are boarding up their windows, and we are making the kind of preperations normally associated with hurricaines", a spokesman for city hall told WJJC news.

Ride The Ducks has canceled all duck boat tours in JJC and to all points north from now until after the storm has passed, and customers who had tours booked for during that time have recieved full refunds. Schools and most public offices will also be closed starting tomorrow and will reopen the day after the storm is over. The storm is expected to start tomorrow afternoon, and end sometime on August 4th. There will be some short localized lulls during the storm, but it will remain powerful and deadly throughout it's lifespan.

"There is plenty of fuel in the air right now for this upcomming storm to feed off of. Once the cold air mass from up north reaches us, BOOM!, all hell will break loose. Already, Albany down to just north of Philadelphia is experencing violent thunderstorms, and two people were reported killed today in a tornado while they were traveling north on the I1. It will be much worse for us. The progression down tward the south is also slow and building up strength along the way, and the storm will last for many hours in JJC. We don't see many storms move from north to south vs the other way, but these unusual storms tend to be much more powerful. This storm has much more in common with a hurricaine than your typical large thunderstorm. "

-NW-JJC Detention center - a cauldron of violence and death.

On a recent July afternoon, a fresh new inmate still with his hands cuffed behind his back got punched in the face by a CO and then the CO, a hulking man much bigger and stronger than his victim grabbed the inmate by the nuts, and keeping a death grip, lead the inmate down two long corrodors to his cell. Once the inmate was in his cell, the CO squeezed yanked the inmates's balls so hard that the prisoner doubled over and vomited in pain. If that wasn't enough, the CO threatened the inmate, saying tbat he was coming back to the cell, and drectly quoting the CO, "to scramble your balls and feed them to the cons on D-block".

In another recent incident, several mentally ill inmates were placed into a restraint chair that was fitted with an additional crotch strap by the prison guards, and once the other straps were secured too tight and locked that way, a guard would tell the inmate who was writhing around and begging to be let out of that chair ' "I won't want any more retards and defects like you breeding. So I'm gonna fix that." The guard would stuff a gag into the inmate's mouth before putting a backwards football helmet on over the prisoner's head. Then the guard would pull the crotch strap
extremely tight before locking it in place, and finally hit the helmet with his baton hard. "I am God, don't ever fucking forget that!", the CO would say before leaving the inmate bound up in sheer agony, sometimes overnight.
