 During Arun presidential/military conference

"We can expect mass rioting, looting, and a general breakdown of law and order. Every possible crime imaginable has sky rocketed in the past week. People are fighting in the isles of supermarkets rushing to get emergency supplies.

 Also, we have militia groups who are convinced that the invasion is just a ruse to bring about the New World Order, and there have been 3 shootouts between them and the Arun military just within the past 12 hours. There is also the mass religious hysteria, sir. Already in the past week there have been 20 mass suicides across Arus by religious cults who believed that they were escaping Armageddon. There are extremist pastors broadcasting on almost every radio station in Alabama City saying that the long wait is over, that Jesus is finally returning. The less extreme are packing churches, synagauges, and mosques in every Arun city, wall to wall, standing room only, a lot of them quitting their jobs so they can be at their houses of worship every day. Some of them gave away everything they own, with the belief that they are going to be dead soon.

As for jobs, sir, people are deserting them left and right on the spot. We just saw a WJJC newscaster just up and leave the anchor desk right in the middle of a broadcast. Arun electric is now down to barely a skeleton crew and parts of the electrical grid are faltering, with hardly a person around to fix the problem.

 There is a deadly riot going on in Newcastle Prison as we speak, and the inmates are not afraid of being killed by the guards. Already 100 people, guards and inmates have lost their lives in the riot. Inmates are reportedly trying to escape. Some of the guards are doing summary executions of the inmates in the HSTU and Camp Hill. Other prisons across Arus are reporting riots and escapes as well.

And we have plenty of stragglers who want to stay and fight, who refuse to evacuate with the rest of the civilian population. Many people are burning down their own houses because they don't want the invaders to have them.

Mr. President, we are dealing with one of the worst social catastrophies in the history of the world, and they are still over 100 days away."
