You could say the same thing about cars.  Are we going to get rid of
them?

In 2023, 40,901 people died in motor vehicle crashes in the United
States. 

According to the CDC, there were 46,728 gun-related deaths in the U.S.
in 2023, the most recent year for which full data is available. This
includes suicides, homicides, and other gun-related fatalities. 

Breakdown of 2023 gun deaths: 
Suicides: 27,300 deaths (58% of the total)
Murders: 17,927 deaths (38% of the total)
Other: 1,401 deaths (3% of the total), including those involving law
enforcement, accidents, and undetermined circumstances. 

Medical errors result in roughly 250,000 to 251,000 deaths annually in
the United States. 

However, this number is an estimate; some studies suggest the figure
could be as high as 400,000 or even more, while other reports indicate
lower numbers. 

Should we get rid of doctors?
