It's a fire... it can go slow or fast.

burn open gun powder with a match and you can see it, the match burns
slow the gunpowder burns fast.  There is a difference in different types
of gun powders burn rates as there is for liquid accelerants.

Put the same material in a restricted space and the burn is faster and
more concussive.

Where do those gasses come from?

Caused by? fast burning or..... other forces like slow heating of
expanding gasses in a restricted space. A water heater can become a
bomb.  Slowly heating to a point where the slow heated gas then very
very quickly escapes the container it's in.

But there is the Tim McVeigh bomb that was simply diesel fuel and
fertilizer that is disbursed and ignited.  And it burned like a fuel air
BOMB that is fast burning and created a concussion.

Fires are simply slow acting BOMBS.  I have burned Brush and used
gasoline to start the fire and using the gasoline on a hot day splashed
on brush piles where it will become gaseous and then light it from a
trail of gas and it will basically explode, and shake windows.  It
doesn't burn it explodes because it burned fast.    A lot of oxygen and
fumes of gas and it reacts much faster because of temperature and
surface area.

Which means the ANTIFA TERRORISTS throwing fire rags with bottles of
gasoline are actually throwing what are very deadly bombs, since they
can't control all the variables.   If the gas hits a vehicle that will
turn the fuel to gaseous form on a hot surface and blow fumes around
like a radiator and fan, it will likely be way more explosive.
