Ive been noticing on a number of the firearms sites on YouTube that a goodly number of normal..safe and sane authors have been recommending carrying large capacity handguns and spare magazines.. Why? Because if one is ripped out of ones vehicle simply to be beaten..the person who is well armed has a much better chance of shooting a bunch of the attackers and getting the rest to run. I have no problem with this philosphy and in fact..have started carrying a 15 rnd capacity .45 with (3) extra magazines. For a total of 57 rds, along with a handy 10 rd SMLE sporter and 3 extra magazines..for a total of 40 rds of 303 British 170gr FMJs. I figure firing (1) round into a vicious crowd out to take at least (2) individals when they are crowding each other..so before I go down..I should be able to take out at least 100 scumbags. Not a bad tombstone if they engrave all the dead and wounded I leave behind.
