I live here legally.
I vote here legally.
I pay taxes here legally.

Of the people
By the people
For the people

And in a more existential form of being American, I'm here and have no
other place I want to be or to turn this place into, America doesn't
need to be destroyed and then turned into Marxist Utopia, if I wanted
America to be another Venezuela or Cuba or Mexico or China... then I
wouldn't be much of an American.... Because being American is also to
love the country but NOT the GOVERNMENT. The best government is the
least government necessary, and we should be keeping those founding
ideal of the least government necessary and most freedom possible as our
goal and Marxism just doesn't fit that American ideal.

The reason so many people here aren't really American despite being born
here or immigrating or illegally squatting for financial gain is that
they love the idea of what GOVERNMENT can steal from others to give to
them, more than the Country... and they want the Government to tell
Americas who they are rather than the other way around.

["""""The moment’s power relied on that final string of words: “that’s
not who we are.” It’s a staple of his rhetoric. Regarding Syrian
refugees, he tweeted: “Slamming the door in the face of refugees would
betray our deepest values. That’s not who we are.”""""""]

Why do we need a Government telling us who we are, when in fact the
people are supposed to tell the Government who we really are. NOT the
other way around. And there you have it, you pointed out the reason that
Obama is so Obviously NOT really American and the Democrats are NOT
acting like Americans. Violence and HATE and all powerful government is
NOT who the American people are and they won't vote for it. The America
HATERS will.

It failed When King George tried it and then failed again when the
Confederacy tried it, and now with the Marxist-Democrats trying it, it
has failed again, the Government can't tell us who we are, mostly
because the government hasn't got a clue and when it's outside forces
and embedded violent HATEFUL Marxists who don't love the COUNTRY telling
us who we are, they either just don't understand what America is and
should be listening rather than talking or it's their propaganda used to
try to manipulate the weak minded who really don't know who we are.

Also I'm American because I love my freedom, NOT the GOVERNMENT.

When I stand for the flag or Anthem it's for the FREEDOM.... NOT my
personal gain thanks to any privilege I receive or don't receive either
real or imagined.

I'm American because I love my Country.... more than the GOVERNMENT
LOVES ME. I don't need to change my Country into a Marxist nanny state
Utopia that I think loves me because it's giving me stuff so I will
love it. I will Never Love the Government, because it's the enemy of
FREEDOM. And Marxism doesn't change that for the better.
