Yes, the asshole Sryniawski beat the rap but he didn't beat the ride.  He appealed to the trial court to let him avoid languishing behind bars for his detestable emails.  But the court let him cool his heels in jail.  It wasn't until the appellate judges reversed the trial court that he walked.
