I Get a Lump in my Throat Now Every Time I Venture into Ingles

It's convenient and just up the street 1/4 mi., but now the scanner fraud is such a pestilence, that I drive another mile to Aldi or Harris Teeter or Trader Joe's.

Besides, the parking lot of 29 TR Ingles is a big continuing crime scene, with very aggressive panhandlers, reeling drunks, drug addicts, lunatics, thieves and your general skid row riffraff.

Oddly, the Oteen Ingles, which is more than 2 miles out of my way, is a bit of a paradise, in comparison or contrast.   Shoppers and staff are always friendly and the deli always has better food.   But the scanner fraud is still a PITA.

One day soon I'm going to carry a picket sign in front of the 29 Tunnel Rd. Ingles and warn their good customers.   They have a lot of bad customers who steal.   I have watched them.   It's a scandal.   But Ingles stealing from me will stop.
