else to go Shinichi runs home. He there encounters into his next door neigh=
bor and close family friend, Professor Agasa. He convinces Agasa of his ide=
ntity and head inside Shinichi's home to discuss the next move. Agasa warns=
 him that he must keep his identity secret because the Black Organization w=
ill kill him and others associated with him should they discover the truth.=

Shinichi's next real appearance after shrinking is when a strange detective=
 from Osaka named Heiji Hattori arrives at Mouri Detective Agency looking f=
or Shinichi in order to determine which of them is the better detective. A =
strange combination of having a cold and drinking the baijiu that Heiji had=
 brought along allows Conan to briefly grow into Shinichi once again.[43] H=
owever, the transformation quickly wears off and he develops an immunity to=

Shinichi's next appearance is when, while on a case with Heiji, Conan goes =
missing and 'Shinichi' seems to appear. This 'Shinichi' is actually someone=
 who had gotten plastic surgery to look like Shinichi and is trying to fram=
e Shinichi for a murder. The real Shinichi hides in the forest until he can=
 clear his name. Shinichi had been temporarily restored by another of Haiba=
ra's prototypes, but this time by accident; Agasa mistakenly gave them to S=
hinichi thinking they were cold medicine.[45] After the case is solved, Shi=
nichi transforms back into Conan, but luckily Haibara secretly followed him=
 there and gives him another antidote, saving him from revealing his identi=
ty to Kogoro, Ran, and Kazuha. While driving home from the case, the group =
is stopped by another murder which Shinichi and Heiji investigate together,=
 despite increasing pangs that warn of his imminent reversion to Conan. Aft=
er the case is resolved, Ran tries to stop Shinichi from leaving, saying sh=
e has something to tell him. Shinichi stops her, saying "According to my de=
ductions, what you have to say and what I have to say are the same thing." =
Ran seizes his hand while he is transforming back into Conan, and though Ha=
ibara knocks her out with Conan's wristwatch, she refuses to let go of his =
hand. Haibara and Professor Agasa have to cut and re-pin Conan's shirt onto=
 him because Ran is still clutching his hand and he refuses to pull out of =
her grip.[46]

Although Shinichi asked the police to keep his involvement in the case secr=
et again, rumours about high school detectives helping in the case spread q=
uickly through the internet, with one poster mentioning seeing Shinichi in =
Kyoto, which doesn't go unnoticed by Hyoue Kuroda and Kanenori Wakita. The =
rumours then rapidly evolve into another media frenzy around Shinichi's per=
son.

Although not related by blood, there is a strong family-like bond between S=
hinichi and Hiroshi Agasa. Agasa was the first to know about Shinichi's shr=
unk predicament and was the one to tell him to keep it a secret. Most of th=
e gadgets that Shinichi has were made by Agasa to help Shinichi catch the c=
riminals and solve the cases as Conan. He also knows about Shinichi's roman=
tic relationship with Ran and sometimes teases him about it in front of her=
 (when Shinichi can't do anything about it since he is Conan).

When they first meet, Conan and Heiji seem bound to become lifelong rivals,=
 especially after Kudo beats Heiji in their first case. Even though Heiji d=
iscovers Shinichi's secret, he decides to keep quiet (though he often slips=
 up and calls him Kudo in front of others). After Heiji realizes the truth,=
 the two have become best friends, and consult one another on cases, develo=
pments concerning the Black Organization, and even their "girlfriends". The=
y have solved many cases together, and Heiji is the person Shinichi turns t=
o for advice or for confirmation regarding a deduction. Heiji has, on sever=
al occasions, declared himself to be Shinichi's best friend or brother.

Despite the fact Toichi and Shinichi only met once prior to Toichi's death,=
 it's worth mentioning that Toichi referred to Shinichi as his "older broth=
er" and himself as the "younger brother". This is because Yusaku created an=
d thus was the father of the moniker Kaitou Kid, Toichi's secret identity. =
Toichi's son and successor, Kaito, has also only crossed paths with Shinich=
i as Shinichi once, during the Clocktower heist. Kaito thought Shinichi mad=
e the heist harder (and thus less boring) in Saguru Hakuba's absence, and S=
hinichi found Kid's intention of 'stealing' the Clocktower in order to save=
 it from demolition to be fairly admirable. Notably, neither of them saw th=
e other's face.

There are only a few characters in the series who know Conan's real identit=
y and none have betrayed Conan's identity to date. The main characters to k=

on. Canonically however, File 1018 implies that Kaito is aware of Conan's s=
ecret, as he addresses Conan and Heiji as "the high-school detectives". Ran=
 gets suspicious on occasion, but so far Conan has managed to trick her int=
o thinking Conan and Shinichi are two different people. Also, Subaru Okiya =
has seen Conan use Shinichi's voice with his bowtie voice modifier. Since S=
ubaru Okiya is actually Shuichi Akai in disguise, this means that Akai know=
s about it as well.

sagi felt like a traitor for being happy with Kyousuke and expected to be m=

uke hinted he would propose to Asagi, but wasn't able to tell her the news =
because he had gone to help a relative, unknowingly falling into a trap. Wh=
en Asagi returned home, she was greeted by Kyousuke, but as he was talking =
about their engagement, his body started to transform into Oboro. Her body =
revived by demonic cells from a tumor on Kyousuke, which caused him to be f=
ully absorbed into her. Oboro also displayed a new power, she obtained afte=
r their last fight, a new Ninja Art which could control movements.

When Asagi caught up to her sister she found Sakuura defeated. The strange =
girl they saw the past few days was a secret Ryuumon bio weapon called Saya=
, a former Taimanin that was transformed into a crazed child-like monster. =
As she started to transform into a giant spider, she claimed this was a pow=
er inherent to all Taimanin. Meanwhile, Tokyo Kingdom Bridge exploded, with=
 this also being a plan of Ryuumon to cut of Asagi and Sakura from any outs=
ide support. Saya's strength by herself was more than a match to a weakened=
 Asagi, and even after landing some good hits, in the end Saya was able to =
defeat Asagi with her strength and tentacles. Knocking both girls out. They=
 awoke cut off from support like Kuro, in a Ryuumon Hideout, bound to odd t=
entacle creatures.

During this period, Asagi is cured of her Body Modification by Kiryu Sabato=
, which had joined the Taimanin after the events of Taimanin Murasaki, and =
had found a cure, but things do not get easier for her. When Sawaki Kosuke =
awoke to a "bedroom art" and revealed his feelings for Asagi, she became hi=
s lover for some time. Though, as Asagi investigated, something was odd wit=
h his art, as the Sawaki clan could not awaken to such an art. She still en=
joyed her time and kept the whole matter a secret from her sister.
