It doesn't take 50 years to fix a 4 mile long road. Tunnel or no tunnel. The Queen, Elizabeth II, promised in 1961 the Tabernacle of G-D beneath Heel Stone would be unearthed. Environment Secretary, Peter Walker, promised in 1971 the Entire Length of A303 would be upgraded. And nothing happened. Relics damaged, lives lost, cars totaled. Off with Her head! and Her so-called Government!
