Oh and 6th reason, it pisses off the freemasons and wiccans, so basically the project is never going to happen because the first group obviously has a lot of clout, the second was recognised as a religion so Stonehenge is legally a holy site and that increases the paperwork x1000

Same but the people here are retarded. In my village we have a derelict property that was a house that burned down in the 1960s. The council want to develop the property and gave the village consultation

The village voted for 6 new builds using local and historic construction, with 5 bedrooms, for young families, and a price not exceeding £250k. Average house price here is £650k. Yeah that'll happen.

The locals shot that down because pubs apparently will create youth crime (even though the median age here is 68) and local retail threatens the character of the village (ie it will lower the house prices which are so vastly overvalued that nobody is buying them)
Basically the attitude here is everyone hates the status quo but nobody is prepared to risk things getting worse
The locals wanted our farmer to buy the land but he just laughed and said he didn't want it
