https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-13649151/textile-Israels-Cave-Skulls-Bible.html Rare 4,000-year-old artifact mentioned in the Bible 25 times is discovered in Israel's 'Cave of Skulls' Archaeologists have discovered a rare artifact that is found throughout the Bible's Old Testament. They discovered a 3,800-year-old textile colored with 'scarlet worm,' a dye that is mentioned 25 times in scripture, in a cave in Israel. The red dye was created from the carcasses and eggs of an insect, which people would grind up into a power to color garments. The textile featured woolen threads dyed red, which had been weaved through uncolored linen threads to form a lattice-like design. The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) announced the findings on Thursday, after finding the less than two-centimeter textile hiding in the 'Cave of Skulls' in the Judean Desert. . . . Well - that PROVES that EVERY WORD in the Torah/Bible is 101% TRUE !!! :-) Inform Rhett and Scarlett down at Taro ..... Anyway, it's two tiny squares of some rough fabric dyed with bug-goo. Probably the "modern look" at the time. Might make for good book covers, but scrolls were still high-tech media back then. Do they still make "books" or have the Firemen gotten rid of all those hazards ? However the real money was still in the cloth dyed with the purple snail-goo.
