    ASCII art is a form of art that uses letters and symbols as drawing
    shapes, so the brain, when receiving the optic signal, can interpret
    them not as strings of characters, but as tabular 2D pictures, in
    which all of the signs form a whole. This way, letters and symbols
    are chosen for their individual shapes and for their aesthetic
    qualities, rather than by their meaning in the context of a text.

    disconnected vowels and consonants (a scream reaching for the center
    of the Earth), but as the illustration of a face, you're able to see
    ASCII art.

Later in the tutorial there are multiple iterations of a cat image,
showing refinements and different styles.
