Thanks for posting the entirety of the article here. After a few
paragraphs it was obvious that it would be a strong read and I did a
rare 'print' so I could read it afk.

As someone working to adopt the lifestyle of digital minimalism, it is a
strong statement made of creativity born from limitations. And, how
expression and creatively could be so widely expressed with simply ASCII
characters and a sheet of paper.

And even today we have tools in widespread use like figlet and toilet
that makes the job easy. I routinely use figlet fonts to communicate on
my bbs and finger service.
