Tippit, Ruth Paine, Norman, Jarman...it's not a small list. The hobbyists 
- not all but the ones who do this - don't seem to care a bit about what 
they accuse these people of.  It's one thing to say LBJ or Hoover or a 
noted figure was involved. For good or bad these figures have to suffer 
the "slings and arrows" of life. But who defends these people?

Here we have ordinary Americans caught up in something that overwhelmed 
them. They were confused and disoriented and afraid and puzzled. So their 
accounts mirror that; contradictory and disjointed. But no, all of this 
was part of the script.

I've often cited that statement by Oliver Stone in his defense of 
Garrison: "Sometimes in a war you have to sacrifice some people." That is 
what I think these conspiracists do (again not all). They are so certain 
of their cause that they don't care whether these people get hurt. For 
them, well you just have to sacrifice them for the larger battle.
