The video of this should be well worth a look once it's posted...... -----Original Message----- Subject: Reminder: Race Relations and Law Enforcement with Jason Riley - Friday header Please join Hillsdale College for our next AWC Family Foundation lecture: Black, Blue, and In-Between: Race Relations and Law Enforcement Jason Riley Editorial Board Member Wall Street 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. 227 Massachusetts Avenue, NE • Washington, D.C. 20002 Lunch will be provided. Homicide is the leading cause of death for young black men in America. Are police shootings the reason? Our prisons are teeming with young black men. Is that because of the war on drugs or racial bias in the criminal justice system? In the wake of the Ferguson, Missouri, shooting and subsequent national protests, veteran journalist and author Jason Riley will share his thoughts on what is driving tensions between low-income black communities and law enforcement. Jason Riley is an Editorial Board member at the Wall Street Journal, where he writes on politics, economics, education, immigration, and race. Born in Buffalo, New York, he earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is the author of Let Them In: The Case for Open Borders and Please Stop Helping Us: How Liberals Make It Harder for Blacks to Succeed. Please register to attend this event in person. The video of the lecture will be posted online following the event. This lecture is sponsored by the AWC Family Foundation.
