In my opinion, the fact that we humans and rats share a recent common 
ancestor makes them special!  Still, I cannot & will not tolerate one 
living in my home!!  I would do my best to capture it humanely & safely, 
and then, it needs to go live out in the countryside far away from other 
homes!
